Frequently asked questions

Have questions about endometriosis or how Endometriosis With Felicity can support you? Find answers to common queries here.

Is Felicity a doctor or medical practitioner?

No. Felicity is a peer mentor with lift experience, not a medical doctor, gynaecologist, or clinical specialist. The resources, tool kits, And mentorship sessions provided on this platform are designed for educational, organisational, and emotional support purposes only. They should never replace professional medical care or clinical diagnosis.

How does peer mentorship differ from medical care?

While your medical team focus on clinical treatments, surgeries, and prescriptions, pay mentorship focuses on daily lifestyle management. I help you with the practical skills traditional doctors rarely have time to cover, such as tracking patterns, emotional coping strategies, managing "Endo belly", and developing strong self-advocacy skills.

What are Australia’s endometriosis and pelvic pain clinics?

The Australian government has fully deployed a network of 33 specialised endometriosis and pelvic pain clinics operating inside existing general practices across every primary health network. These clinics provide accessible, multidisciplinary care, bridging the diagnostic gap by housing GPS, Nurse navigators, and allied health professionals under one roof.

Can I participate if I don’t have a formal laparoscopic diagnosis?

Yes absolutely. On average it takes Australians between 6 to 8 years to receive a formal endometriosis diagnosis. Our resources, tracking tools, and mentorship sessions are built to support anyone dealing with chronic pelvic pain or systemic symptoms, regardless of where they stand on their formal diagnostic timeline.
